Reflection

This outcome states how students will be able to use multiple literacies to support their writing. I believe I met this outcome because throughout the year I listened attentively in class and used what I heard to my advantage in my writing. In the artifact shown, the assignment asked which essay I learned more about punctuation. I used the literacy of reading to achieve this goal. I read the essay of Iyer and Thomas and chose that one because I learned more about punctuation than the other essay. The main point in my assignment was that the essay compared punctuation to road signs on a highway which was very unique and caught my attention. The author also used metaphors throughout the essay, including how punctuation is similar to roadblocks which helped me understand as a reader. So this assignment demonstrates how I read and chose which essay expanded my knowledge of punctuation the greatest.
