This outcome states that students will learn to notice and understand different ways people use language and communication in different situations. I believe I met this outcome because I identified how I use my language based on certain situations. I have 3 artifacts shown in which I used different language based on the scenario. For example in the text message, I use casual language with emojis to my friend who is asking to switch his laundry. The next artifact was an assignment asking to switch words in a poem into a different genre. I changed the poem into a breaking news article. Finally, the last artifact is an email I wrote to my professor, in which I used professional language because I understand that is a situation in which professional language is necessary. These artifacts are perfect examples of how people use language in different situations as shown.
